To whom it may concern,

We want to thank all of you who voted us as "Best Couture" for the Second Style Stylies. Ava really does love the award.

In other news, 4 vintage Paper Couture menswear outfits were featured in the Virtual Fashion Lookbook Fall 2010. Thanks LL.

Also, and probably the biggest news of this blog post....soon we will be releasing a brand new collection soon.

All I can say right now is that this collection is a bit of a departure for us, and we're very excited.

Our second cousin three times removed on our mother's side of the family, Cici Vonderheide, will be making footwear with us this season.

We've had our ups and downs this season, my friends. Delays, re-construction, and an early paparazzi sneak attack have all seemed to have plagued this season's release.
No matter! After living with this collection for what felt like several excruciating months, we've decided to finally release it. Inspired by old Hollywood, glamor, and a dash of of new years eve; golds, silvers, and lush blacks are what make up out latest release. We hope you all enjoy our blood sweat and tears. Normally we try not to read reviews as they send prue into a deep spiraling depression. I think we all remember the jungle incident from two seasons ago. However, there are some too delicious not to read. Thank you Posh Pride for making such a post. Never have i felt more insulted and flattered at the same time. This has got to be one of my favorite reviews of a collection we've done. If I could I would bronze it and put it on the wall.

The post is a bit long, but its well worth the read. Heres some highlights:

"It’s true most of the clothes are hardly wearable, but they enforce the silly brainless models we are to be creative as well: you can’t wear this new collection without a little bit of character. You need humour, you have to be self confident enough but with some distance on yourself too; you can’t be dressed in PC without a bit of attitude and/or self-derision. And if it’s not a fashion challenge, what is it?!"

"But nobody’s perfect, and The Lus are far to be. Or if they are, this is only as the perfect reflection of a gorgeous lover: a Love/Hate relationship. The man I would love with no condition is the one I could slap and kiss right after. I think Paper Couture inspires me the same feelings…"

Announcement: Paper Couture joins Armidi!

The Lu sisters are to merge their Paper Couture brand with Armidi by mid April, 2008. "We find Armidi amusing" said Ava Lu when asked why they decided join the Armidi girls. "We feel that we can bring a new level of couture to casual wear through Armidi". Prue Lu has stated that she will dedicate herself personally to dressing London and Adians pet cobra because, as she says, "animals are the future". Mare Lu, who is currently enrolled in a twelve step substance abuse program, grudgingly admitted that this is a good move for Paper Couture, as her sponsor insists she must make amends with the rival brand in order to heal. Mimi Lu, the youngest of the five sisters had this to say about the merge: "This is a once in a lifetime chance to work with people who have egos ALMOST as large as ours. Someone may lose an eye, but the end result will be a superlative virtual fashion collection, and that is worth losing the gift of sight for." Cora Lu could not be reached for comment. Rumour has it that she was inside her penthouse appartment, drinking Mojitos with a naked man less than half her age and watching The Bold & The Beautiful while the announcement was being made.

The 5 rings and pearl set that I have on display were created exclusivly for the expo and will not be for sale in the regular Paper Couture stores. A warm breeze on your face while sipping a exotic cocktail on the black sands of Waianapanapa is the feeling that the Lu's are experiencing right now. Ah yes my dears. If I might say so myself, our first runway show went off almost without a hitch. Our fall clothing line is now available to the public, with jewelry, shoes, and accessories to shortly follow. We've had a busy week and it's not over yet. We're planning to post a clip of the runway show for those of you who weren't there, so keep a jewel encrusted eye out.

Little Update

Well, my Sugar Orange Slices... I have so much to tell you!

First off I'm back from my vacation and much to my surprise my little JuJu was already home! I guess I forgot to pack him. Le sigh, I always do that. He's been giving me the cold shoulder ever since I returned. I brought him back a fancy glass and one of those toy monkeys with the velcro on it's arms from the Rainforest Cafe and it seems nothing can mend his little broken heart. Sometimes he acts like such a child. We're also having a little tiff over his diaper boycott but that's another story, darlings!

What else? Oh yes, Ava and Cora have been building us a web receptical for displaying our fashions. They've worked so hard. Sometimes if I listen real hard at night I can hear the faint sounds of gentle weeping coming from the computer room. Poor dears.

Anyhoo, I'd better go, we've just popped in a bootleg copy of Elizabethtown and I'm on popcorn duty. Oh and the store's open in 20 minutes.

STOP! ENOUGH! This fall campain has tortured me to no end and my blood curdling sisters say my behavior this season is the, "fifth sign I'm the host body for anti-christ." Whatevaaaaaaa.

Juju and I are moving out of the mansion. We're going przz-imal, baby, getting in touch with our innards. I wish my sisters will know half the joy and bliss I'm sure I'm about to experience with this spur of the moment life choice.

Peru here we come! We've arranged to live on the flooded forest with some friendly tribesmen. You see, darlings, every year the Amazon floods the rain forests and I hear its quite beautiful. I was advised I should see it before our new factory opens in Japura.

Cora's Immanent Death

Today I received news that our great Aunt Hildah's 2nd Cousin's fish Fire-Engine, whom I've always loved dearly, has passed away after a brave bout with fish breast cancer.
This tragedy forced me to think about my own death. Because I know that my "family" will screw it up, I'd like my funeral wishes to be publicly known. When I decide to take my own life I want my sisters to crush me into a diamond and encase me in a rotating crystal box with a 10 foot flame shooting out the top, possibly in a famous french museum. Children will have to stay 5 feet back and wear protective glasses while adults weep at the awesome sight of the flame as it chars birds and planes mistakenly flying over because they were blinded by the bling of my forever gem.
Also our new fall line is coming together nicely.

I am but a budding lifeling
as my world condenses into a plump,
little dew drop on the petal of a rose.(A rose that is crying out "FASHION!")
The rose cries out in despair as theword it screams forms into catty, bitch glue
and chokes the voice into silence.

As it is now quietly quiet the deer hooves
and fluffy bunny brains which make up the glue
start to singa song.

"Prue Lu come play. Mold us and make us your own." They whisper into the wind.

"I CAN'T!" I yell back to the wind.

A passer by throws me some change and harsh words and for a fleeting moment
I aspire to get cleaned up and find a job.
But I would rather buy a couple of beers
